Food Truck Starter
Startup Cost and 3-Year Projections Spreadsheet: preview 1

Who it's for

Anyone who needs numbers for a lender, a partner, or a go or no-go decision on a truck, trailer or cart.

Good to know

It isn't accounting software for after you open. It plans; your bookkeeping records.

Type your numbers into the yellow cells on one Assumptions tab. Every other tab updates: startup costs and funding gap, a monthly first-year P&L, three-year summary, cash flow with negative months flagged, loan schedule, break-even covers per service, and an event profit planner.

One place for every assumption

Services per week, covers per service, seasonality by month, average ticket, food cost, labor hours, commissary rent, fuel, insurance, loan terms. Sample values are marked as examples to replace with your own quotes.

The numbers a lender asks about

Total startup cost and the funding gap, first-year revenue and profit, the lowest cash month, and how many covers each service needs to cover costs, loan payment and your draw. The dashboard puts them on one screen.

Checked by recalculating real scenarios

We tested low, base and high scenarios and compared every key result to hand math, down to the cent. The numbers it shows are only as good as the assumptions you type in, and it says so on the first tab.

Questions

Does it work in Google Sheets?

Yes. Upload the .xlsx to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets. It uses only functions both Excel and Sheets support.

Do I need finance experience?

No. You fill in one tab of plain questions. The Start Here tab walks you through the order.

Can I use it for a trailer or coffee cart?

Yes. Pick truck, trailer or cart on the Assumptions tab and enter your own costs.

Can I get a refund?

These are digital downloads, so sales are final once the files are downloaded. If a file will not open or does not match this description, email us and we will fix it or refund you.
