About Food Truck Starter

Food Truck Starter makes the paperwork and math for opening a food truck, trailer or coffee cart: a business plan template, a startup cost and projections spreadsheet, a menu costing workbook, booking contracts and daily logs. The calculators and state guides are free.

How we make the files

• Built for trucks. Every template is written for mobile food: commissaries, generators, event fees, parking and permits, not a generic restaurant.
• Checked before we sell them. We recalculate every spreadsheet with test numbers and compare the results by hand, and we look at every page of every PDF before it goes in the shop.
• Honest about what they are. Templates are not legal advice, projections are only as good as the numbers you type in, and no plan can promise a loan. We say so in the files too.
• Official sources for rules. State guides link the government pages that issue permits, with the date we last checked them.
